while we recognise that there are no truly safe spaces in the world, we will do everything in our power to make this place as safe as possible. we understand the evils of capitalism and try to operate within it causing as little harm as possible. this is a queer-owned, woman-owned, white-owned business and as such we understand that our default mode is as a benefactor of systemic racism, however we constantly strive to dismantle our internal racism and act as anti-racist accomplices.
principles will always be a space intentionally for marginalised people, disabled people, fat people, trans people, neurodivergent people, queer people, gender non-conforming people, people of colour, Black people, indigenous people, gay people, poor people, houseless people, sex workers, and all other people who are not expressly welcome in "regular" society.
principles will always be a place that acts against sexism, racism, ableism, ageism, xenophobia, fatphobia, homophobia, whorephobia, misogyny, transmisogyny, misogynoir, and white supremacy.
principles is a vegan-owned, vegan business that also recognises the suffering of non-human animals. while we know that veganism is far from perfect, we also use it as a framework for trying to suck less. to the end we will never use animal products to include meat, dairy, honey, leather, refined sugar, and also palm oil.
