Please reach us at katie@principlesbk.nyc if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The first thing I want to know is whether you want your event to be public or private and whether or not you want to host it during business hours. The path of least resistance is a public event during business hours, but I’ll explain all the scenarios.
We simply need to find and agree on a date and time and commit to it. I ask that these events be free of charge to attend and in return the space is free for you to use. You may solicit attendees for financial donations and keep all the proceeds, but please don’t be a nuisance about it.
The space may be rented on a nightly basis with a sliding scale fee of $300-600. With this you have access to the space from 6pm until the following morning at 7am.
This does not grant access to use of anything behind the bar, but does grant full access to the rest of the space. You may do whatever you like so long as the space is returned to the way you found it by the time you leave.
Additionally, please do not advertise after-hours events as “hosted by Principles” or “at Principles”, instead just use our address in advertisements, 139 9th St. If you would like to have a house barista at your event the additional rate is $35/hr with a four-hour minimum payout.
We do have a PA system in storage that you are welcome to use, but it is your responsibility to set it up and put it away.
There is an hourly fee of $400/hr. This fee will cover the cost of having a barista on bar for service and does not include drinks.
There is no alcohol, no marijuana, and no age restriction.
You may byob and/or sell/provide any beverages you like.
Yes. The space has two solid white walls, a larger, and a smaller, measuring 216” x 46” and 64” x 46” respectively. Exhibits may be installed by the artist after hours. The weekly rental fee is $250 and the monthly fee is $600. All art and exhibits must first be approved by Katie.
Send me a DM on IG and I can let you know what dates are available. For all first-time vendors I charge a $25 non-refundable table fee and you may only book one market to attend. Upon the successful completion of your first market you may book any number of future markets at no additional fee. All food vendors must be 100% vegan. I provide each vendor with a table (approximately three feet by two feet) and chair. I cannot guarantee more space than this, but on a case-by-case basis we can allot more space.
We aren't hiring.
